3. Thanks to PHC for the Grant; it helped with the load.
4. A little church opened its doors for shelter.
a. Offered Showers, laundry, mats and cots.
b. SVDP could then focus on families.
5. St Charles Court is stepping out of low income housing.
6. Grasshopper Village is being sold.
7. 8 Churches now collaborate with SVDP along with some surprise donors.
8. They are serving 800-1200 people in 275-300 families each month.
9. Lots of Senior and Disabled people not being helped anywhere else.

2. Still Full – lots of people from the camps are afraid to stay in the camps because of violence.
3. Working on getting a program for women going.
a. Having to move many to the valley for now.

xxxvi. Other Updates and discussion:
1. To save time, should we send updates early for agenda?
a. Many liked the idea.
2. Christine - Possible loss of low income housing –
a. There are 300+ Units in danger of opting out of project-based lowin income housing.
i. The plan is to give residents section 8 vouchers
ii. OHCS is looking at how to save these units.
iii. Most have a 15 year commitment to provide low income housing that is about to expire.
b. Deb - The possible loss of low income housing is a national issue.
c. In Oregon alone, there are more than 800 units in danger.
d. Many people are working on this issue
e. The new director for Rural Development is bringing back programs that haven’t’ been used for awhile.
c. Racheal – Tenants have due process rights – refer them to Legal Aid.

4. PROJECT HOMELESS CONNECT
i. Men’s Summit will be sponsoring the PHC this year.
ii. We have applied for a 20k grand for PHC Medical costs.
iii. We have re-applied for a 10k grant.
iv. We have applied for the 15k title sponsorship with Partnership to End Poverty.
v. We have received a $500 grant.
vi. Structure:
1. Leadership Team for PHC
2. Primary Lead
3. Steering Committee
4. Comments on structure:
a. HLC needs to have “normal” meetings.
b. PHC steering committee should meet separately.
vii. Medical Community is already stepping up.
viii. We already have a dental lead.
ix. Cindy will email and send out a press release inviting all to a general meeting.
x. Cindy will link PHC website to the HLC site.

i. Results will be ready for the next meeting (May 16th)
