1. Some boards said it was a Band-Aid.
2. It is a systems change for the better toward more permanent services and more involvement from the community.
3. It is a portal for entry or re-entry into long term services.
4. It served to educate the community as to the needs that exist and to educate the guests as to the resources that are available.
5. Our community is now different than before.
6. Lots of agency connections made through PHC!
a. One example: Prineville St Vincent De Paul placed a family into a donated trailer from Cascade Youth and Family Center. (trailer was donated to CYFC)
b. Cascade Youth and Family Center connected with the College Place to get youth educated.

2. Survival Team - Heather Voris
a. Music was a distraction – move survival to the other end of the floor next year?

5. Transportation Team - Janet Whitney
a. Bike repair at bus pick up site was a great hit!
b. Need to work more with faith based organizations next year.
c. Moved 185-200 people.
6. Personal Kits Team – Woody

7. Personal Attention Team –Nichole Roberts, Loomis Goode
8. Medical Team - Racheal Egan Baker
a. 2 Doctors and one Nurse Practitioner were there.
b. Numbers served:
i. 37 assessments.
ii. 16 consultations.
iii. 9 prescriptions.
iv. 1 to emergency room.
v. 35 vaccinations
vi. 60 vouchers for adult vaccinations.
vii. 15 vouchers for child vaccinations.
viii. 3 pregnancy tests.
ix. 4 Hepatitis C tests.
x. 8 HIV tests.
c. Next year:
i. Need to start planning now.
ii. Suzy knows someone who can help to work out the liability issue.
iii. St Charles plans to do $4 vouchers for prescriptions.
iv. Separate by county inside the Medical area.
v. Lions Club will have a mobile screening unit there.
vi. Work on getting LensCrafter there.
9. Housing Services Team – Lois Golden
a. 11 organizations were in the housing area.
b. Every stage of housing was represented.
c. 32 credit reports were given.
d. Lots of networking with vendors and other volunteers that came in to look around and learn.
10. Fundraising Team - Dina Barker
a. 49,048.75 raised, counted so far.
i. There were 7 Donations Over 1,000.
ii. There were 14 Donations Over 100.
iii. There were 89 Donations of 100 or less.
b. Will do a thank you advertisement for Agencies who donated in-kind and/or money.
c. Need follow up for in-kind donations and values.
d. Need a tally of volunteer hours if possible.
e. Need the info for a required report to Deschutes County for 3,000 that they donated. All others will be given a report as a courtesy.

11. Finance and Budget Team – Dina Barker
12. Media, PR, and Marketing Team – Cindy Pasco, Kevin Barclay, and Renee Davidson
a. Exit Interviews- 300 forms were filled out.
i. Volunteers and guests were very happy.
ii. Many guests plan to come back next year as volunteers.
b. Media –
i. Radio stations and newspapers for outlying areas had great coverage.
ii. The Madras newspaper felt out of the loop.
iii. The Bulletin didn’t cover it till today.
iv. The Source wants PHC guests to follow up with for one year.
v. Please send any and all coverage you see to Renee. She is putting together a scrapbook.
vi. Overall, word got out well! Great job, Renee!!!!
vii. Holly Hutton from NeighborImpact is doing a documentary on the event.
viii. Some letters to the editor were NOT the picture of homelessness.
13. Guest Services (Security, etc.) Team – Elliott from Pronghorn
a. They did have to do some security.
b. The security boss was very surprised at the number of families and the cleanliness of the guests and was “forever changed”.
14. Social Services Team – Karren Ruesing, Deborah Vanni, Angie Peeler.
15. Dental Team – Cindy Pasco, Nicki, Debbie

16. Volunteer Recruitment Team – Sheila Pyott, Jennie Hoffman, Sherry Galvez
a. There were well over 525 excited volunteers at the event!
i. Need more volunteer feedback. So far, all feed back is good.
ii. Volunteers were engaged throughout event – this is our community!
b. Volunteers are excited to plug in to needs in our community.
i. Need agencies to share volunteer opportunities.
ii. Agencies, make sure that you are on these websites:

22. Other Updates/Feedback:
a. Crook County – Marcella
i. Soup Kitchen in Prineville was the pick up point.
ii. The Ministerial Association will be talking on poverty and homelessness.
iii. Faith Based and Government entities are coming together to address homelessness and working toward a shelter in Prineville.
iv. The follow up article in the Central Oregonian will include an interview with SVDP.
v. Need to get the Crook County School District the non-profit agencies working together now.
vi. A BIG THANK YOU to Matt Huff and the Nazarene Church for many kinds of help they provided.
b. Admin – Cindy
i. We need documentation that we are making a difference in lives.
1. Vendor reports and surveys are HUGE for reporting.
a. Vendor exit surveys are still needed.
b. Cindy will send out vendor surveys.
c. Please make sure EVERY group represented in service fills out a survey and send back to Cindy electronically if possible.
ii. We need to incorporate more homeless families into leadership roles for the next PHC.
c. Chuck G. –
i. Not a lot of teenagers there.
ii. Those who came did receive help.
iii. May want more visible direction to services in the mezzanine.
iv. After event – talk was constant about PHC – all positive.
d. Pregnancy Resource Centers – Angie
i. They were upstairs, so not a lot of traffic.
ii. Gave away some baby blankets.
e. HUGE thank you to COVO!
f. Raffle and Info booth –
i. Tank you all for your patience
ii. Had two young volunteers who helped a lot.
iii. Next year –
1. One info desk away from music.
2. Walkie talkies
3. Phone books, etc.

10. ** Next HLC Meeting –8:30-10:30AM – November 16th at the courthouse on the corner of Deschutes and 7th in Redmond.
